How much will your translation cost?

Do you know the cost of your translation in advance? If you entrust us with a translation job, you will know in no time what it will cost. You will receive a quote with price and delivery deadline.

But do you also know how and why we arrive at this quote? What determines the price of our translation?

We are transparent. Discover here the most important elements that affect our quote and therefore your translation budget.

Think about it with us.

1. Source and target language

The source and target languages largely determine the cost of your translation: a question of supply and demand. Very common language combinations such as French and English are available at a very reasonable price, but what about a translation from French into, say, Korean? That will be much more expensive. After all, there are far fewer good translators for this language combination.

2. Source and target language (cont’d)

Your translator is a native speaker and therefore usually lives in the country where this language is spoken. The cost of living in this country has an impact on the price: a translation into Swedish or Norwegian is much more expensive than a translation into Portuguese.

3. What type of translation?

Is it a simple editorial text? Many translators can handle this without any problems. Or is it technical content? The job of a real specialist!

4. Just translation or a bit more?

Additional services also affect the price. Does your translation require DTP (desktop publishing)? Are you expecting a revision? Would you like SEO optimization (and therefore a selection of search terms)?

5. Urgent or not?

The best translators do not sit by their phones waiting for jobs. An urgent translation often means working evenings and/or weekends. This also explains the extra charge.

Discuss your quote in advance.

Tip: consider the above elements before your next request for a quote and discuss them with us without obligation. Our quote will be more accurate, and you’ll get the most out of your translation budget.
